Studio 100 Group and TV Cultura are more than happy with the trend in the ratings of “Mia and me” since its start on TV Cultura (Brazil) last October. Having only been on air for two months on TV Cultura, “Mia and me” has become an outperforming success for the TV channel.
Studio 100 Media und die Deutsche Post haben erneut eine Lizenzvereinbarung geschlossen. „Die Biene Maja“ und „Wickie“ bekommen jeweils eine eigene Briefmarke. Diese erweitern die Briefmarken-Serie „Helden der Kindheit“, zu der bereits die Marken „Heidi“ und „Pippi Langstrumpf“ gehören. „Die Biene Maja“ Briefmarke hat den Portowert 80 Cent, mit denen z.B. ein Standardbrief (bis 20 g) frankiert werden kann, die „Wickie“ Marke kostet 60 Cent und eignet sich für den Versand einer Postkarte in Deutschland. Beide Briefmarken sind ab dem 3. Dezember in Postfilialen, im Online-Shop oder telefonisch beim Bestellservice der Deutschen Post erhältlich.
Studio 100 Media won the Licensor/Licensing Agent 2020 as well as the Licensing Industry Award 2020. The LIMA Licensing Industry Award is a special award that honors companies that have shaped the licensing industry over the decades. So far, this award has only been given three times in Germany – first to The Walt Disney Company in 2018, to Super RTL in 2019 and this year to Studio 100 Media.
Studio 100 Group and TV Cultura join forces for the live action/CGI hybrid series “Mia and me”. Already a high-promising YouTube star in Brazil the first two seasons of “Mia and me” will air on Brazilian free television network TV Cultura commencing today. With a daily slot within TV Cultura’s kids’ programming schedule, at least one episode of the series for girls aged 6 to 12 will air Monday to Friday for the next two consecutive years. As the new children’s attraction on TV Cultura, the first episode will air at 5 pm today, on Brazil’s Children’s Day.

Studio 100 Media names Joachim Knödler as Head of Licensing commencing September 1st. He succeeds Gerd Russwurm, who will retire at the end of the year after more than 24 years with the company. In his new role, Joachim Knödler will be responsible for the international licensing of the Studio 100 Group. He reports to Martin Krieger, CEO of Studio 100 Media / International.
Most recently, Joachim Knödler was Managing Director, Central Europe at (Wildbrain) CPLG Central Europe. Under his leadership, the business in Central Europe was restructured and during his 17 years there, he gained extensive experience in brand licensing, entertainment and the launch of private label brands including the implementation of DTR licensing.
Studio 100 Group and T&B Media Global have announced today, a collaboration on a new CGI animated series FriendZSpace for adventure loving kids aged 5-9. T&B Media Global and Flying Bark Productions will co-produce the comedy-adventure series which tracks three human kids who are dedicated to making friends with young alien beings who happen to be scattered all around the universe! Studio 100 Media has secured the worldwide distribution rights (excluding Thailand) for all audio-visual as well as the L&M exploitation rights and will be presenting the show as a highlight at this year’s MIPCOM RENDEZVOUS CANNES.
Studio 100 and SeaBelievers today announced that they will collaborate closely as distribution partners on the exploitation of the CGI Animation series of the same name: SeaBelievers (52 x 11’). Studio 100 acquired the worldwide (excl. Russia and CIS) distribution rights for all audio-visual as well as L&M exploitation. Studio 100 will present the show at this year’s MIPCOM RENDEZVOUS CANNES 2020 for the first time.
From August 2020 the complete Heidi product range of Zapf Creation will be available in stores starting in Germany and Austria. Zapf Creation and Studio 100 Media as rights owner support the product launch with marketing measures.
Zapf Creation will place non-linear TV ads in September and October and at the same time ads in the relevant parenting magazines.
Studio 100 Media has signed a license agreement with MyPostcard for the lifestyle brand Miffy on behalf of the rights holder Mercis BV. The multi-year agreement covers the German-speaking region. As part of the cooperation, sheets of stamps featuring the little bunny Miffy are now available. The brand-new movie about the famous little bee Maya will be released into cinemas in 2020 and 2021. “Maya the Bee 3 – The Golden Orb” is produced by Studio 100 Media, in co-production with Australian animation company Studio B Animation and in association with Flying Bark Productions. In 2018, Plopsa opened the first amusement park in Poland: Majaland Kownaty. With a record of 250.000 visitors, the main targets were easily obtained. Shortly after, the announcement of a second park near Warsaw followed, of which the constructions will start very soon. Thanks to the success of the current parks and the expansions in other countries, Plopsa announces today the plans for a new indoor amusement park in the Czech capital Prague.
Studio 100 Film and Kool Produktion AS today announced a slate of sales and first admissions for the recently completed animation movie ELLA BELLA BINGO. The Norwegian production will travel to territories from the US, Canada and UK to Benelux, France, Portugal, Bulgaria, Poland, the Baltics, Russia and Ukraine, to Turkey, South Korea and LATAM. ELLA BELLA BINGO already was released nationwide in Norway on January 24th 2020 with a total admission of 51,136 till February 18th. In Denmark, where the film was released on January 31st, the total admission as of February 18th is 31,068 and showing strong numbers.

Studio 100 Media and PLAYMOBIL are delighted to announce that the “Heidi Special: Spring is here” will premiere on several popular TV channels in Europe this spring. The CGI animated special (12 minutes) brings Studio 100’s beloved character Heidi to life in the well-known PLAYMOBIL® look-and-feel. Telling a heart-warming story of Heidi and her friends, the special takes the audience into the idyllic Alpine world of Heidi.
The shareholders of Studio 100 – Hans Bourlon, Gert Verhulst and BNP Paribas Fortis Private Equity – were looking for a fourth shareholder to support the company’s long-term growth plan. With Vic Swerts and 3d investors, Studio 100 brings on board two well reputed Flemish long-term investors who strongly believe in the company’s growth strategy and the entrepreneurship of the management team. 25 per cent of the shares are sold to Vic Swerts (17%) and 3d investors (8%).
Based on their own experience in building international companies, both investors are delighted to be able to support the further growth of Studio 100. Like Soudal, Studio 100 has in the past already been awarded the “Enterprise of the Year” award.
